Kari Minnick Art Glass Studio 2008 Program

I am very impressed with your ability to teach so well, have your own highly developed style and strong techno savvy…you have rare and precious talents. To the betterment of the art community, you share them with grace.

Where do I go from here? I've taken a number of classes but need to find my own unique style.
ONE-ON-ONE:

This is an amazing opportunity to study privately with a professional artist considered a master in the field of fused/kilnformed glass. I offer private and small group instruction in kilnformed glass techniques and design. We will work together to develop a vocabulary of skills, create a cohesive body of work, and/ or build a professional portfolio. We will work on the issues most important to you. Many of my students start their own studios, are accepted to juried shows and galleries, and mount major exhibitions. All gain confidence in their abilities and develop their own personal style.

I owe Kari such a debt of gratitude. From the first time I walked into her glass studio, she has generously shared with me the techniques and skills that have made her work so successful. The care and assistance she has shown at every turn have been instrumental in pushing my work to a higher level. I still have lots of questions and much to learn. I look forward to many more consultations.

I am a career ceramist and painter. I'd like to use glass in an upcoming series. How do I proceed?
TRANSLATION:
I work with established artists to help them realize their artwork in glass and/ or incorporate glass with their dominant media. I will guide you in creating glass art based on your signature work.
How can I work on my own projects?
OPEN STUDIO:
The studio is available for use by experienced kiln workers. Work on your projects independently at your own pace with the guidance of a professional glass artist. Glass and kiln firings are purchased separately. Open Studio sessions are by appointment. Please call or email the studio for details and to discuss your prior experience and needs.
Kari Minnick is an outstanding artist and teacher. I have worked in her glass art studio for the past two years and continue to do so. Kari is remarkably generous with her knowledge and guidance. She is inspiring, reliable, outstanding in her ability to help the artist fulfill their vision for their own work. Each artist is dealt with “one on one” and the work is beautifully fabricated and professionally handled - from start to finish. I love working with Kari and am grateful for her guidance and expertise.

How could I incorporate glass in an upcoming project? Do you collaborate on projects?
COLLABORATION:

With extensive experience in my field and a well-appointed studio, I can bring the medium of kilnformed glass to a wide range of projects. From initial proposals to the finished project, the meeting of minds and media give both artist and client dynamic design options and works of greater scope.  Contact the studio to discuss how our combined capabilities may enhance future projects.

Will you create a workshop tailored to my group of colleagues?
CUSTOM WORKSHOPS: Call the studio to arrange a workshop or studio event for your group.
